Bruce Ferber, the Emmy-nominated former head writer for Home Improvement brings us Elevating Overman, a novel about Ira Overman, the veteran of multiple botched careers and a singularly botched marriage. The humorous and sometimes painful completxities associated with second chances become the basis for the protagonist, who tries to rise above the guilt, weakness and self-hatred that have been hard-wired into his soul as he discovers that a troutine surgery has produced some unlikely powers!
